Hello students!
I hope all of you are staying home and taking good care of yourselves AND your family members. I miss all of you - your smiles, your laughs and your jokes!
I look forward to when we can return to Neabsco! Until then, I hope you take some time each day to read, write and complete your 4th grade assignments
Don't forget to checkout your classroom teacher's website which has lots of information.
Keep the battles going. Shout OUT to you that are completing assignments on Prodigy, Lexia and ST Math. Great job to the leaders, You may email me if you have forgot your logins.
Also, I will be checking my email daily during the week. You may practice your writing by emailing me about things you are doing at home to keep busy, I'd love to hear from you. kincaicp@pwcs.edu
In addition to the links on Clever, there are many things online to explore, (with your parents' help, of course!) There are virtual field trips to zoos and national parks, authors reading their stories aloud. I hope you take this time to explore these amazing options AND spend quality time with your family. Math: Students had completed unit on fractions and computation (adding and subtracting fractions) and were preparing to begin a unit on Probability.

The lesson focuses have been on developing and understanding of poetry through the integration of our standards of learning such as character, setting, plot, main idea, supporting details, cause and effect (if appropriate), author's purpose, and use of sensory words to enhance the author's intent when writing the poem.
Writing: Students were beginning to write and create their own poems.
Science: Lesson focuses were on Basic Electricity and Magnetism learning all about open and closed circuits, series and parallel circuits, positive and negative poles on a magnet, why magnets work the way they do, and were in the process of learning how to create and build our own electromagnet.
