Welcome to first grade! I am so excited to be your child’s first grade teacher.

About Me:

I grew up in Prince William County and went on to attend George Mason University. I graduated with my Master's of Education in Curriculum and Instruction. This will be my first year at Neabsco but, my fourth year teaching first grade. I enjoy working with my students and watching them grow as learners through the year.

What can you do at House iconhome while school is closed?

Below are some ideas for continued practice while we are out of the building.

Reading iconReading: Read to your child, have your child read to you, retell stories that are read, identify text features in non fiction (remember there are things to read all around us, not just in books), practice sight words, log onto Lexia or MyOn through Clever.

Writing iconWriting: Create a journal of activities that you do over break, write a non fiction book to teach about something you know, create a make believe story, write to convince someone why something is best.

Don’t forget to add details and to make sure sentences begin with a capital letter and end with a period!

Math iconMath: Practice counting to 120 by 1s, 5s, and 10s, create and solve real life story problems using UPSC, practice math facts, play card games and add numbers together, log onto ST Math through Clever.
